KrisEnergy aims to prove more gas in Lengo area offshore Indonesia
SINGAPORE – KS Drilling’s jackup KS Java Start has spudded the Mustika-1 exploration well for KrisEnergy in the Sakti production-sharing contract (PSC) offshore Indonesia.

Drilling is expected to continue for around 20 days.
The well is targeting the Kujung I formation. Planned total MD is 3,100 ft (945 m).
A commercial gas discovery could be developed through new facilities KrisEnergy plans for its Lengo field development, 10 km (6.2 mi) to the east in the Bulu PSC.
Front-end engineering and design for Lengo was completed this summer, and the company is preparing to tender the contract for engineering, procurement, construction, and installation.
The Sakti PSC, awarded in February 2014, covers 4,974 sq km (1,920 sq mi) in the East Java Sea over the western margin of the East Java basin, Bawean Arch, and the Muriah Trough.
KrisEnergy operates in partnership with Golden Heaven Jaya.
