Oslo-listed EMGS has landed a deal to deliver data from its extensive electromagnetic survey catalogue covering the Barents Sea.

Worth US $1.5 million the licensing deal is for the provision of 3D electro-magnetic data from its multi-client data library covering the Barents Sea, for an undisclosed customer.

Also, EMGS has agreed to receive a further undisclosed sum if the customer is successful in being awarded further blocks in future licensing rounds offshore Norway.

Currently the electro-magnetic data library held by EMGS covers a total of 30,000 square kilometres.
